CPS Paris 24th-26th July

-- So this post never got finished, I'm posting it as it was. All I can recall was we got blown apart all event and on our way back my fuel tank went from 1/4 to 0/4 in 5 minutes, so I pretty dangerously used Andy's slipstream to try and conserve as much fuel as possible. --

So the weekend before the tournament I wasn't feeling healthy and was quite weak, so I rested up and decided not to train to try and get back in fighing shape in time for the tournament. Wednesday came along and I did some traditional last minute packing. I was feeling back up to scratch and was in the mood for some paintball!

We had some last minute roster issues.. although we had been asking around for a 6th for weeks, we had a few guys sign up who then had to let us down at the last minute. I called Adam (also referred to as A-man), on Wednesday evening to see if he could drop everything to come play with us - just like that he cancelled with work and got on board. Feeling mischievous, I called him on Thursday morning a few minutes before me and Dave picked him up and told him that someone else had come back to us last minute so we were going without him.. He took it surprisingly well! But then moments later I picked him up and he laughed it off.. kinda..

We picked up Liam from his 9-hour bus journey before meeting the Burridge brothers at Cribbs for a wholesome McDonald's breakfast. We went to Asda to get the obligatory matching t-shirts and some walky talkies so that we could maintain inter-Astra communication.
